Medication Management
Medication reconciliation is a service provided to inpatients at GRMC. Upon discharge, patients receive a list of all their medications and over-the-counter supplements and medications recorded. This information is also stored electronically at GRMC with the medical record.

Taking this list to all healthcare appointments can help bridge communication between providers. It is really important that healthcare providers know what patients are taking, how much they take, and how often they take it. This includes vitamins, supplements, and all non-prescription medications as well.

Everyone is encouraged to keep the information easily accessible. It is invaluable in an emergency healthcare situation to allow healthcare providers to know all your medications right away.

Pain Management
Pain can be detrimental to quality of life, and the pain management clinic is here to combat that.  Gene Gessner, MD, provides a wide variety of pain management techniques, including medication therapy, physical and occupational therapy, acupuncture, massage, and dietitian services, most of which will be performed in GRMC’s surgery suite on an outpatient basis. Patients are offered medical care for any type of chronic or acute pain.
