Fitness and Wellness Classes
The Paul W. Ahrens Fitness Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year! There is a class for everyone and childcare, to boot! With state-of-the-art equipment that includes CuVerro® copper and a class or personal trainer to suit your needs, there is no reason not to get a membership!

Meet with a Clinical Dietitian
Dietitians assist with making healthy food choices, creating healthy eating plans, and reconfigure truth versus misconceptions about nutrition. If you would like to meet with one of GRMC’s registered dietitians, please discuss this option with your primary care provider.

Prevent T2 Education
Prevent T2 is a program designed for people with prediabetes and those with a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This 12-month program is similar to life coaching and geared toward helping participants lose weight and lessen their risk for diabetes by teaching about healthy habits you can build on. Prevent T2 is an American Diabetes Association approved program. Financial assistance is available through a grant. For more information, you may contact GRMC’s health coach at 641-236-2079.

While undergoing a major surgery should be a last resort, it is an option. GRMC’s Bariatric Center of Excellence is nationally recognized.
