TGFN (Thank God For Nurses)

May 8, 2018, 09:00 AM

It’s National Nurses Week! With more than 3.1 million people, nursing is the largest health care profession in the country. That being said, nurses are so valuable to the health care system the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment will increase faster than average through at least 2024. In addition, many nurses choose to narrow their scope to a variety of specialties including clinical nursing, nursing-midwifery and surgical nursing or just about any other specialty you can think of.

Nurses’ roles range from direct patient care to case management, establishing best practice standards, developing quality assurance procedures and managing complex nursing care systems. Both with patients and behind the scenes, nurses work hard to ensure patients receive the best and most effective care possible. So during this National Nurses Week, and all the time, make sure to show a nurse the appreciation they deserve!
