Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, which means hearts are everywhere, and heart health takes on even greater significance. Join Lauren Graham, MD, on Monday, Feb. 12 at UnityPoint Health – Grinnell Regional Medical Center’s Senior Education Program to learn about “Matters of the Heart: Updates in Cardiovascular Disease.”
Graham will cover a range of topics, including changes in blood pressure goals and aspirin use and dosage. Listen to how advances in medicine have developed new anticoagulants and new cholesterol lowering medications to meet a wider range of patient needs. Questions are highly encouraged for all matters of the heart.
Graham is a general internist practicing at GRMC. She completed her medical degree and master’s degree of public health at Johns Hopkins, where she also did her residency training in internal medicine with a focus on primary care. Currently Graham sees adult patients on a referral basis for chronic disease management, such as diabetes, COPD, heart disease and most other medical conditions.
